I'd always heard of this band but I'd never *heard* them. I finally bought an album (Achilles Heel) last month and now I'm sorta obsessed. The singer/songwriter seems to place a strong importance on his faith in a lot of their material. This song is no expection, even if it's an uncoventional spin. I once saw Pedro the Lion with soon to be VicVerse member, Stephen....Inside the Ruber Gloves Rehearsal Room in Denton, Tx (empty warehouse), I saw David Bazan strunm his acoustic and mellow the crowd...
The Amish beard he was sporting wasn't too sexy though....this song sure is racy.
The "Gideon is in the drawer" line, creates the picture for me.....Considering the Bible at a moment like sex, inside a hotel room, is chilling...
